Our participant insurance is available only to residents of Japan. All guests must have valid insurance coverage for scuba diving, snorkeling, and river kayaking activities. If you are not covered by appropriate insurance, you will not be eligible to participate in these activities, and we will be unable to accept your reservation.

We had a wonderful experience with the beginners scuba diving course! It was our first time diving too and were a little nervous but our instructor Kei-san did a great job explaining everything to us. The communication even underwater was amazing. What an experience! I highly recommend trying scuba diving with Kaiolohia and instructor Kei-san on Yakushima Island. Kei-san is professional, warm, funny and enthusiastic about the ocean and marine life. He speaks great english, the instructions were easy to follow and both my daughter and I felt very safe throughout the dive under his guidance. The door-to-door pickup service was a bonus. The highlights included watching a beautiful sea turtle enjoying its lunch, spotting a big octopus, pufferfish, and a school of barracudas. To top it all off, we received a beautifully edited video to treasure the memories. Thank you, Kei-san!

Highly recommend! I had a brilliant morning dive with Mai. She was very calm and reassuring when I was initially slightly nervous at the start of the dive. She also pointed out and ID’d lots of wildlife during our dive that I wouldn’t otherwise have spotted or known. A perfect guide - thank you, Mai! ☺️
